In the New Girl episode “Sam, Again,” Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is excited to submit her application for a job at a progressive new school. But she worries when she finds out that the principal (Lucy Punch) is dating Jess’ ex-boyfriend Sam who has let himself go — hair wise. It’s been three years since Jess and Sam broke up (when he found out that Jess and Nick kissed).
Sam is portrayed by David Walton. He’s known for his roles on About a Boy (Will), Bent (Pete Riggins), Perfect Couples (Vance), 100 Questions (Wayne), Heist (Ricky Watman), and Cracking Up (Liam Connor). Walton is also recognized for his roles in the films Think Like a Man Too (Terrell) and Burlesque (Mark the DJ). New Girl airs Tuesdays at 8pm on FOX.
