Add super-sensitive smell to former pro football (and pro baseball) player Deion Sanders‘ long list of better-than-average abilities. Either that or Sanders can’t find his way off Grant Avenue. Because the NFL Hall of Famer-turned-broadcaster is smelling a lot of pot as he walks through San Francisco prepping for his Super Bowl duties. Some super bowls of sinsemilia, apparently, are getting fired up to go with that other heady Bowl on Sunday. Should come as no surprise, right, in the ancestral home of the Grateful Dead?
Does anybody else in San Francisco smell alot of weed just walking the streets because I do? Just asking is this normal? #Truth

But what about that narrative about the tech business pushing out the flower power leftovers — and Uber being the new way to trip in the Bay Area? Well tech and drug culture have always been friends. So Sanders’ sense of smell probably isn’t betraying him. And he’s probably not just padding around North Beach either. Remember the godhead of tech remains Steve Jobs — and Jobs famously said LSD was one of the best things he’d ever done. Deion Sanders is no doubt familiar with the smell. He once said that when he goes back to his old neighborhood, he calls everybody Ida. Because they all say “I’d a been this and I’d a been that” — if it weren’t for some of their questionable choices.
