Tower Paddle Boards is the Southern California company that makes stand up paddle boards. The creator, Stephan Aarstol, pitched his business on Shark Tank in 2012 and made a deal with investor Mark Cuban. Since then, Tower Paddle Boards has done more than $17 million in sales. The growth rate of the business is impressive – annual revenues have grown more than 2500% in the last four years. It’s no surprise that Cuban has said that Tower Paddle Boards is one of his best Shark Tank investments.

In May 2015, Aarstol announced that he changed the company’s business hours from a typical 8-hour work day to a 5-hour work day, from 8am to 1pm. “Then we live,” says Aarstol. Will the shortened work hours help the company to continue to grow? Things are going gangbusters so far. Investor Mark Cuban will check on the company’s productivity when he visits Aarstol in San Diego on the Shark Tank spinoff show, Beyond the Tank, which airs Thursdays at 8pm on ABC.
