In Season 5 of Shark Tank, 11-year-old Moziah Bridges and his mother Tramica Morris pitched Mo’s Bows, a line of dapper, self-tie bowties. Mo didn’t get a deal but he won the heart of FUBU founder Daymond John who offered to be Mo’s mentor. On Beyond the Tank, John invites Mo (who’s now 13) and his mom to Brooklyn, where John grew up. It’s a way for John to emphasize to Mo the importance of where we learn some of life’s most valuable lessons.

On Beyond the Tank, Mo voices his interest in expanding the company beyond bowties. He wants to have his own clothing line by the time he’s 20. When Mo tells John he wants to get into denim, John advises him not to expand too quickly. John recommended neckties be the next step. Mo’s Bows is currently selling a skinny black necktie called “On Stage”, listed on the company website for $60. Most of the bowties like the gingham one below sell for $50. Beyond the Tank airs Thursdays at 8pm on ABC.
