In the TV movie Angel of Christmas, copy editor Susan gets an opportunity to write a big headline story. She’s been given three weeks by her editor Yvette (Holly Robinson Peete) to write a personal story about a hand-carved Christmas tree angel that was made by her own great-grandfather. Susan’s mother believes the magical family heirloom helps people find true love. Her daughter is no exception to the rule. While doing research for her article, Susan meets and falls in love with Brady Howe (Jonathan Scarfe).
Susan is portrayed by Jennifer Finnigan. The Canadian-born actress is best known for her roles on Tyrant (wife Molly Al-Fayeed), Monday Mornings (Dr. Tina Ridgeway), Crossing Jordan (Dr. Devan Maguire), and The Bold and the Beautiful (Bridget Forrester). P.S. Finnigan is married to fellow actor Jonathan Silverman (Weekend at Bernie’s, Brighton Beach Memoirs). Angel of Christmas premieres on the Hallmark Channel on November 29 at 8pm.
