On the NCIS: Los Angeles episode “The Long Goodbye,” while NCIS Special Agent Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and DEA Agent Talia Del Campo (Mercedes Mason) go undercover together, the rest of the team searches for Jada Khaled. She’s the Sudanese woman who fell in love with Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) while he was undercover, trying to get information about Jada’s Al-Qaeda-affiliated brother Tahir. Sam brought Jada to the US, to keep her safe and to have her testify in the States. Now she’s missing.

Jada is portrayed by Ella Thomas. She’s appeared on several TV shows including Ugly Betty, How I Met Your Mother, Castle, Parenthood, Entourage and Bones. Thomas is best known for her recurring roles on Ballers with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (Kara Cooley), and All My Children (Diana Holden). Thomas will appear in the 2016 biopic Nina about Nina Simone. Zoe Saldana plays Nina. Thomas plays Simone’s friend, playwright Lorraine Hansberry, who inspired Simone’s song “To Be Young, Gifted and Black.” NCIS: Los Angeles airs Mondays at 10pm on CBS.
