Jennie Nigrosh is the entrepreneur behind Green Garmento, a reusable dry cleaning garment bag that also serves as a hamper and duffle bag. She came up with the idea when she learned that an estimated 300 million pounds of single-use plastic dry cleaning bags are tossed in US landfills and waterways every year. She pitched her product on Shark Tank and didn’t get a deal. But that hasn’t stopped the growth of her eco-friendly business.

Nigrosh has sold more than one million Green Garmento units — each retails for $9.99. And she’s rolled out a variety of sizes and colors. Green Garmento can be purchased on the company website, or you can avoid the $4.95 flat shipping cost on Amazon on orders more than $35. Green Garmento can also be found at Walmart and Bed Bath & Beyond stores across the US.
