The LA Dodgers didn’t make it to the World Series this year and many fans blame manager Don Mattingly. According to reports, Mattingly and the Dodgers have “mutually agreed to part ways.” Many celebrities in Los Angeles have chimed in on social media regarding the decision.
Actor Rob Lowe tweeted earlier this week: “The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results. Fire Mattingly.” When the news broke of the parting of ways, funnyman Michael McKean (This Is Spinal Tap) wrote: “Mattingly just fired the Dodgers apparently…” Dodgers fans are also reminding everyone of The Simpsons episode which features Mattingly doing everything the owner of the Springfield Nuclear Plant baseball team, Mr. Burns, tells him.
