Google has released its new Chromecast device and app. You plug the circular device into the HDMI port on the back of your TV. The app on your phone pulls information from the likes of Netflix and Hulu to search and stream shows and movies without having to weave in and out of other apps. The phrase “one-stop shopping” comes to mind.
Google says the device’s new shape “will drastically improve its WiFi Strength, and video will be cast in 1080p whenever available.” The Chromecast 2 is available for $35. P.S. It works with iPhones, iPads, Android phones and tablets, and laptops. You can also use Chromecast to stream music from your phone to speakers.
