There is some gun-slinging going on in Chicago — and no, it’s not July 4 weekend in the projects. The Arizona Cardinals scored 28 points and allowed the Chicago Bears to post 20 — all before 30 minutes had elapsed at Soldier Field. There haven’t been this many easy scores at Soldier Field since the Grateful Dead played their 50th Anniversary shows there this summer.
The Cards scored 31 in their opening victory (31-19) over the Saints last week, and it looks like Bruce Arians’ Cardinals will just try to keep outscoring other teams. The over/under in Vegas was 46 1/2 at some bookmakers, but a gambler looking around could get the Cardinals-Bears at 45 points. Doesn’t much matter, with 48 between them at half, the over/under is already history.
