Gil Prather is starring on the new CNBC reality show West Texas Investors Club with Matthew McConaughey’s brother Rooster. Gil looks like a cowboy because he is one. One that knows how to sing. “The Man from the Rio Grande” is famous for his song “I’ll Be Back in Texas by the Fall” which was voted Song of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists.

In the 1990s, Gil played “the other brother” in the “Jose Brothers” comedy act, and he co-wrote several songs on Robert James Waller’s Border Music album. Waller is the author of The Bridges of Madison County. Gil will add some comic relief to the West Texas Investors Club which will air Tuesdays at 10pm on CNBC.
