The cup of tea. It’s a great British tradition that’s been passed on generations. Work forces were built on it. Digestive biscuits thrived on being dipped into the milky warmness of a cup of tea. You can picture a Yorkshireman drinking a cup watching a game of cricket. You can imagine a builder refreshing on one high up on a site in central London. But it seems those visions are no more. The UK are a nation of coffee drinkers.
A survey taken by Ladbrokes to find the nation’s favorite drink found that coffee came out on top by just 0.5% ahead of the great British brew — with 23% of the nation choosing the coffee bean. Favored mostly by females, the drink is seemingly the kick the nation needs. No wonder there’s a Starbucks on every corner.
