Nothing’s perfect but the launch of the Steam Monster Summer Sale (June 11-21) didn’t go well. According to GameZone, it’s “a broken mess.” Store pages aren’t loading, it gets “stuck at 97/97 loading” and there’s serious problems navigating, for starters. As Lance Liebi wrote: “Your progress doesn’t save, and the Monster Game makes you wonder why it even exists.” Ouch.
Kotaku’s report concurs: “It’s not really doing the whole ‘working’ thing at the moment.” It compares Monster Game to an ill-behaved child. It’s “always minutes away from a meltdown…you’ve got to check on it a lot.” But Kotaku is a bit more forgiving in its review than GameZone. “It’s a safe. What else do you expect?”
