Robby Mook is the campaign manager for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. The 35-year-old Columbia grad worked on Howard Dean’s 2004 president campaign and Clinton’s 2008 president campaign. He hit a big homerun as the campaign manager for Terry McAuliffe’s 2013 Virginia gubernatorial campaign.
Mook is the first openly gay manager of a major presidential campaign. Other facts about Mook include that he’s cheap. (A bonus for any candidate who hires him.) According to The Washington Post, Mook “proudly tells staffers and donors alike that he is ‘really, really cheap.’ Like second-hand furniture and no-cab-rides cheap.” Mook will discuss the Clinton campaign on Face the Nation on Sunday, June 14 at 8:30am.
