At the Internazionali BNL d’italia, tennis star Maria Sharapova played Catalan player Carla Suarez Navarro. During a break, Sharapova sat down and waited for an umbrella to give her some shade from the hot Italian sun. But a ball boy behind her slipped, fell face first, and then wiped out.
Sharapova turned to see what had caused the commotion and noise and then turned her attention back to the court. He got back on his feet. He battled on, as did Sharapova. She won her third Italian Open title in a 4-6 7-5 6-1 triumph.
