Jeremy Lin fans are watching the Golden State Warriors post-season with particular interest. But there are multiple reasons why the possibility of Jeremy Lin at Golden State has fans excited.
[BONUS: The Jeremy Lin Quiz — Think You Know Jeremy Lin? 13 Questions]
One, Lin’s a great fit in a Golden State locker room led by MVP Steph Curry. Both men are devout Christians — goal-oriented with similarly modest attitudes toward success. Two, Lin’s a native Northern California kid, having grown up in Palo Alto. Three, the Bay Area is very much a “world city” situation, and Lin’s international appeal is a big marketing benefit to a team in that category. Four, the Warriors are rich in guards but perhaps about to get poorer: besides Curry and Klay Thompson they have Leandro Barbosa and Brandon Rush. Barbosa’s a free agent after the season and Rush has a year left. Five: Even Klay’s dad, former NBA star Mychal Thompson, recently told ESPN Radio Los Angeles that Lin would be a good fit for coach Steve Kerr’s style.
