Detective Everett Backstrom thinks he might be the father of his tenant, Gregory Valentine. To find out he pays a visit to Val’s mother, Louise “Lou” Finster, who was a prostitute when they met. Lou is now a dental hygienist who has found God. When Backstrom asks her flat out if Valentine is his son, she says no, but is she to be trusted?
Lou Finster is portrayed by the lovely Lolita Davidovich. She’s best known for her roles in films including Raising Cain with John Lithgow, Intersection with Richard Gere and Sharon Stone, and Gods and Monsters with Ian McKellen and Vanessa Redgrave. Davidovich will appear on the forthcoming season of True Detective and in the Nicholas Sparks film The Longest Ride with Scott Eastwood and Britt Robertson.
