When NYPD Deputy Chief Donald Kent (guest star Dennis Haysbert), a commanding officer of the gang division, and his wife are “gunned down in an apparent gang hit” on Blue Bloods, police commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) “orders all hands on deck” to catch Kent’s killer. One of the first people Detective Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) visits is the infamous gang member Mario Hunt.
Mario Hunt is portrayed by Cliff “Method Man” Smith, member of the rap group Wu-Tang Clan. As an actor, Smith is best known for his roles as Drops on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Melvin “Cheese” Wagstaff on The Wire, and Carlton “Tug” Daniels on Oz. Or maybe you recognize him from The Fast and the Furious, How High, and 8 Mile. Blue Bloods airs Fridays at 10pm on CBS.
