With Jessica Lange leaving American Horror Story, director Ryan Murphy is quick to find actors to pick up her four characters on the show. American Horror Story: Freak Show guest star Matt Bomer (White Collar) will return as one of the series leads along with Lady Gaga and AHS newcomer Cheyenne Jackson. 30 Rock fans will recognize Jackson as Danny Baker. Glee fans know him as Dustin Goolsby.
When not on a set, the 39-year-old actor is either on a stage or in a studio singing. Early in his career Jackson sang back-up for Vanessa Williams and Liza Minelli. Then he hit Broadway (All Shook Up, Damn Yankees, Finian’s Rainbow, The Heart of the Matter, The Performers). In concert, Jackson has sold out Carnegie Hall twice. The fifth season of American Horror Story is set to focus around a hotel and will premiere in October 2015. Let’s hope there’s singing involved.
