Actor Paul Campbell, 49, was fatally shot by police who were responding to a fatal stabbing. When police arrived at the Weymouth, MA home that Campbell shared with his mother, they found Campbell armed with at least one knife, and his mother, who was dead of multiple stab wounds.
Campbell was childhood friends with Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg, who got Campbell the role of a toothless crack addict in the 2010 film “The Fighter.” Campbell also had a small role in Wahlberg’s 2012 comedy “Ted” and the 2013 film “American Hustle.” According to NBC News, Campbell has a daughter with the current girlfriend of Boston Mayor Marty Walsh who said, “This is an ongoing investigation and it is not my place to speculate on why or how this happened.”
