Actress Melissa Benoist of Glee will star in the new CBS show Supergirl. She will play Kara Zor-El, “an alien from Krypton who escaped to Earth during her home planet’s destruction. Since arriving on Earth, Kara has hid her powers, but now at 24, she decides to become the superhero she was meant to be.”
Before Supergirl comes out, you can see Benoist in the new Al Pacino movie Danny Collins, with co-stars Jennifer Garner, Annette Bening, and Bobby Cannavale. Who knows, you might see her walk down the aisle before Supergirl, too. She is engaged to her Glee co-star Blake Jenner. They got engaged in July 2013.
