Taylor Swift’s song Blank Space is a satire on how the media perceives Swift and her relationships with men. It’s a huge hit. Three funny moms, known collectively as WhatsUpMoms, have created a song and video parody worthy of Weird Al Yankovic.
It’s called Blank Space but the lyrics have been changed to reflect the mundane lives of stay-at-home mothers with the children. The moms complain about how slowly time moves, running out of ideas for entertaining the kids, and overall exhaustion. So they head to Starbucks. The literal ‘blank space’ in the mom version refers to the blank space on a coffee cup where a barista writes your name. The video has been viewed more than 2 million times. Mother of two Britney Spears just tweeted about it. WhatsUpMoms also do a funny “I’m So Pregnant” to Iggy Azalea’s Fancy.
