Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb starring Ben Stiller has been released this weekend to rave reviews and big bucks at the box office. Stiller plays Larry, a security guard at a natural history museum. His co-stars include funnymen Owen Wilson, Ricky Gervais and the late, great Robin Williams, who portrays Teddy Roosevelt. This is the final film to feature Williams in an on-screen role. Fans will hear his voice in the 2015 British comedy, Absolutely Anything.
Night at the Museum is dedicated to Williams and the other late, great actor Mickey Rooney, who plays Gus the old night guard alongside Cecil (Dick Van Dyke) in the film franchise. Rooney died in April at the age of 93. Night at the Museum was Rooney’s highest paying salary — $250k. Williams’ highest paying job was the film Bicentennial Man — he was paid $20 million, and that was in 1999!
