Reality TV star Nicole Richie will return to TV with her VH1 show Candidly Nicole, July 17, 2015. She describes it as “a tongue-firmly-planted-in-cheek type of show.” In the next season, the former star of The Simple Life with childhood friend and socialite Paris Hilton, jokes about her past DUI arrests. The self-aware Richie says: “I think some people think I’m funny and some people don’t.”
Richie has grown up since those careless, young adolescent days of The Simple Life. She’s married and has two children. On Candidly Nicole she offers insights into fashion, relationships, work, and well, being grown up. But as Richie admits, “I’m still the butt of every joke.”
