Reality TV star Kandi Burress of Real Housewives of Atlanta got a role on the TV movie Second Chance Christmas. It will air Saturday, November 6 at 8pm on TV One, “Where Black Life Unfolds.” 14-year-old actor Michael Rainey, Jr. (The Butler) plays Lawrence, a boy who gets a new dad for Christmas when his mom (Robinne Lee, Hitch, 30 Going on 13) marries her boyfriend of six months (McKinley Freeman, Hit the Floor, End of Watch). With the new dad and home come a new set of rules, which doesn’t make Lawrence happy. “When a tragic accident turns Lawrence’s world upside down he and Malcolm must adjust to their new family dynamic to survive. With a bit of love, patience, and a second chance, they just might.” It’s a tear-jerker.
TV One is a joint venture owned by Radio One, the largest radio company that primarily targets African American and urban listeners, and Comcast Corporation.
