Jason White, the longtime touring guitarist with Green Day, has been diagnosed with tonsil cancer. According to the band’s statement, White, who is 41 years old, is expected to “make a full and speedy recovery.” White is married with two small children, Sonny (almost 2) and Shelby who was born in May.
White first played with Green Day on stage in 1999. He’s been touring with the band ever since. He received his first studio album credit in 2012 with the band’s triptych ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tre!.
