WWE Diva AJ Lee knew she wanted to be a wrestler when she was 12 years old. After graduating from high school she started training under Jay Lethal and wrestled on the New Jersey independent circuit. She signed a contract with WWE in 2009 and the rest is Smackdown history. She became 2013 Diva Champion and in 2014 married former WWE Champion CM Punk, who appears to have given up wrestling to pursue writing Marvel comic books.
Rumors about AJ Lee leaving WWE continue to swirl. Whether it’s a simple PR push from WWE or not, it has us wondering what would the 27-year-old AJ Lee do if she left. Wrestling is all she knows. Maybe AJ heads back to school? She attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University after high school but had to drop out after six months due to financial constraints. Money’s no longer a problem. Tisch is one of the hardest schools in the country to get into, with alumni like Spike Lee, Brett Ratner and Martin Scorcese. If AJ heads back to NYU, maybe she’ll get to direct a CM Punk script down the road.
