The shot you are about to see is like some mashup of gymnast, figure skater, running back and–well–ice hockey genius. Buffalo Sabres forward Tyler Ennis comes from the right side at blinding speed then leaps over the outstretched leg of the Canadiens goaltender Carey Price–before backhanding it in from his weak side.
Extraordinary as the shot is, it’s the pre-shot leap that makes you want to see Ennis play again. It’s just his seventh goal of the season. From the number of times it’s going to be shown, it’ll feel like more.
