Millions of people have purchased food products, supplements and vitamins from Amazon. I used to get all of mine from Amazon because it was cost effective and convenient. That is until I contacted the brands directly to find out if I could get the same price from them. I contacted three very reputable companies including Innate Response–whose products I use every day–and each told me that if I’m buying their vitamins and/or supplements from Amazon, then I’m not buying their products at all. My understanding from these companies is that their products are being duplicated (presumably without the same efficacy and quality as theirs, and probably not even the same standards for allergens). Innate Response told me its labels are being copied and that products not made by the company were being sold through Amazon. I was assured by Innate Response that they are in no way making or selling their products through Amazon, yet Amazon is selling products that look exactly like theirs!
When I contacted Amazon over a year ago, which was a feat in and of itself, I spoke to five different people. Yet I was unable to speak with anyone in US operations. Ultimately I received only promises that my calls would be returned. Over a year later, still no call back and no answers from Amazon. My suggestion to you is, if you’re looking for vitamins and supplements find a Chiropractor, Naturopathic Doctor or Functional Medicine Doctor who can get these products from a reputable source and at cost. Even if there is a mark up, it’s still better than getting a cheap product that may not be what you think it is. At the very least it’s doing nothing for you and at the worst can be harmful.
