Rumors abound that hackers have gained access to Snapchat photos and are trying to match the sexually explicit ones with usernames and post them on October 12. Yes, the photos seem to “disappear” on Snapchat but a third-party app that some people use to save their photos (without the sender knowing) has been allegedly hacked.
According to Gizmodo, “Snapchat acknowledged the leaks but abdicated responsibility, pushing blame on the victims.” If the leak is real, and there’s proof that the photos are coming from Snapchat’s userbase, the hackers would likely face mulitple charges of child pornography as the Snapchat userbase is heavily underage.
