Michigan State and the University of Michigan football teams play their rivalry game in East Lansing on Saturday, but for many students and fans the game(s) have already begun. This morning Michigan fans waking up to a chilly fall Wednesday found their familiar M –known as the Block M– looking less familiar than usual. Not only was it painted green–that’s Michigan State Spartans green–but it had a couple of companion letters. This morning, the M spelled MSU.
Alejandro Zuniga, a Michigan football writer and sports editor with the Michigan Daily was on top of the block. Zuniga’s worth following for all things Michigan sports. Michigan and Michigan State will kick off at 3:30 pm, ET this Saturday on ABC.
