LeBron may become the next basketball billionaire with tips from his pal Warren Buffett. But one thing every MBA program and business book points out is that “attention to detail” is critical for success. Jeremy Lin went to Harvard, so he knows a thing or two about getting the details right. (They’re sort of selective about who they let in, you know, at Harvard.) That’s why it’s so interesting that those are the exact words Lin uses to describe what separates Kobe Bryant from the other elite players in the league.
Asked what separates All-Universe Kobe Bryant, Lin’s new Lakers teammate, from other players like his former teammates All-NBA James Harden and All-NBA Carmelo Anthony, Lin replied succinctly: “How hard he works an his attention to detail.” Bryant is coming off a season-crushing injury last year–and in his rehabilitation “detail” has been as important as ever. Bryant’s passion flows into every nook and cranny of the Lakers story. Lin should fit right in.
Jeremy Lin played with Melo and James Harden. What sets Kobe apart? “How hard he works and his attention to detail.”
