Colt McCoy has won more games this season than Robert Griffin III. Sources say that Griffin will return this weekend against the Vikings. Yes, there are fans who wonder why the Redskins are pulling the plug on McCoy who “deserves the chance to prove he is a starter.” Meh! This offense is built for RGIII. He must start, although I am fine if that is after the Bye. I hope he knows that fans expect him to win seven games as he did in that remarkable streak leading to the 2012 Playoffs. The ‘Skins were 3-6 when Griffin sparked that run. They can do it again.
I saw Washington winning eight games this year; although I counted the Texans and the Giants at home in that number. It included a split with the Cowboys. With games against the 3-5 Vikings, 1-6 Buccaneers, 2-5 Rams and still struggling 3-4 Giants, the Redskins have a shot at seven wins. A mobile, healthy and confident Griffin could stretch it to ten. There is a worry. Norv Turner is the Vikings OC. The Redskins have not beaten Turner since Dan Snyder fired him in that shameful way in 2000. Karma is a bitch.
