Duncan Enright will be standing for the Labour Party in Witney next year to take on UK Prime Minister David Cameron. A sitting PM has never lost his/her constituency in Witney before, so Enright is pretty ballsy. Or, as Eternally65 suggests on Reddit, Enright is a sacrificial lamb. Witney went nearly 60% Conservative and almost 20% Lib-Dem last time.
Duncan Enright replied to Eternally65: “They like lambs in Witney – it is a blanket making town!” But seriously, Enright believes if he fights for local issues, he has a chance. He’s proving that he’s willing to do what other politicians haven’t. Enright just might be the first Parliamentary candidate from a major party to ever try an AMA on Reddit. If he needs comforting afterwards, he knows where to get a nice soft blanket.
