Grammy-nominated artist Afroman had a hit ten years ago with Because I Got High. The song was about all the poor decisions he made because of weed. But now, with election day coming up in Alaska, Oregon and DC – states that will decide on the legalization of marijuana – Afroman has remade the song to emphasize the benefits of marijuana. According to the (new) lyrics, getting high is better than getting drunk and taking Xanax.
Afroman released the new video with Weedmaps, the medical marijuana dispensary locator, and the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML). You can watch the positive remix, here.
