It was just one year ago when Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande were on the Nickelodeon set taping the last episode of their popular teenage sitcom Victorious. (Justice played the lead Tori Vega, Grande was Cat Valentine.) A lot has happened in that one year, particularly for Grande. She released her debut studio album Yours Truly which was number one on the US Billboard 200. And now her second album, My Everything, is soaring to the top of all the charts with singles like “Break Free” and other collaborations with megastar rappers like Nicki Minaj (Bang Bang) and Iggy Azalea (Problem).
It’s taking Justice a bit longer to produce her debut album. Billboard just reported that she has left her label, Columbia Records, but assures fans that she is recording an album which is expected to be released “sometime during 2015.” Jason Lipshutz of Billboard wrote: “Justice has musical chops and a recognizable name; she just needs the right project and set of collaborators to make herself shine.”
