Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper is best known for his on-camera roles (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Hangover). But he’s also a producer with a good eye for scripts. In fact Cooper claims executive producer credit on the two films in which he was nominated for Oscars — Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle.
Now Cooper is putting down all the fictional scripts in Hollywood to tell a real story. He’s producing a film based on Adam Higginbotham’s article, A Thousand Pounds of Dynamite, which relates the story of a desperate gambler who engineers a genius-level, massive (1000 pounds!) bomb in a Nevada casino in 1980. (He was broke and owed the casino thousands.) The action-packed story was first published by The Atavist.
