The former lead singer of Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, is releasing a new album of old songs. Her 24 Karat Gold—Songs From the Vault is an LP of newly recorded older material including “Lady” which was originally recorded with Lindsey Buckingham as “Knockin’ On Doors.” The album, Nicks’s eighth solo effort, will be released in October 2014, when she’ll be touring with Christine McVie on a Fleetwood Mac reunion tour.
Nicks’s voice has certainly changed over the years. It’s helpful to watch the lyric video of “Lady” to home in on the lonesome lyrics. Here’s a taste of it: “Come lately I just keep waiting, I see nothin’ out there. The sun keeps throwin’ out the light form the clouds, but there’s no light in here.”
