We’ve been concerned (and curious) about Lou Reed since he cancelled his Coachella shows last spring with the most eloquent excuse ever. Saturday, John Cale wrote that Lou “is in recovery from a very serious procedure please send your best thoughts for his complete recovery to him along with your support to his wife Laurie.” The same day a message from Lou on his Facebook page reads: “I am a triumph of modern medicine, physics and chemistry. I am bigger and stronger than ever.”
Good news–that those “unavoidable complications” weren’t untreatable, too. Now we’d like to give him (and Laurie) UnavoidableComplications.com as a recovery gift. Lou goes on to say he looks forward to being “on stage performing, and writing more songs to connect with your hearts and spirits and the universe well into the future.” Use the comments below to suggest song titles for the crowd-sourced fantasy album.
