If you ask Rich Berenson to jump out of a plane, he will. When not skydiving, motorcycling, or snowboarding, he’s wearing a suit, playing his 9-5 role as publishing executive. Berenson sells ad space – a lot of it – to some of the world’s biggest brands. More aptly, he creates vital opportunities for companies to communicate constantly with their customers, deftly incorporating all the platforms available in today’s seemingly infinite media environment. His career started at Car and Driver/Road & Track at Hachette Filipacchi Media, which allowed him to fulfill the thrill of driving over 150 mph. He later became publisher of This Old House at AOL Time Warner, and Child Magazine at Meredith, where he is currently a Managing Director.
Known to friends and colleagues as a guy who gets the most out of a day, Berenson also makes a point of learning something totally new every seven years. He is currently taking guitar lessons.
