Becca Droz is the 26-year-old climbing instructor competing on The Amazing Race 29. She grew up the youngest of four children. She considers her eldest sibling, who’s 14 years older, like a half-sister and she credits her two older brothers for keeping her ego in check. “They gave me a nice tough time,” she laughs. Becca also points out her advantage of having a degree in Outdoor Leadership, which she says means she’s good with “kinesthetic learning and do-it tasks.”
Yes, a degree in Outdoor Leadership is a real thing. Becca studied it at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina. In addition to course work, students studying Outdoor Leadership at Warren Wilson College are also required to work on service programs, e.g., guiding environmental education nature walks and teaching fly-tying classes to local middle school students. The Amazing Race airs Thursdays at 10pm on CBS.
