After inventing Rollerblades, Scotty Olson came up with SkyRide, an elevated mono-rail for bikes. He put $500,000 into building a Sky Ride Farm in Waconia, Minnesota. You can ride the bikes on the track throughout the 45 acre property. It’s touted as an incredible workout and it’s fun. In 2012, he pitched SkyRail on Shark Tank saying he can sell SkyRide to ski resorts, tourist attractions and amusement parks. He asked for $3 million for 20 percent equity, but none of the Sharks bit.

Olson hasn’t given up on SkyRide. If you’re going on a cruise on Carnival Vista this year, you can try it out. A 800-foot track on the ship that soars 150 feet above sea level and can hit 25 mph has been installed and will be ready for use starting May 2, 2016.
