Two-time NBA MVP and all-world celebrity hooper Stephen Curry — the Golden State Warriors GOAT and winner of four of the last nine NBA titles — has a sideline in the entertainment business. Curry produces shows (Holey Moley!) and he’s got a big new production coming out, starring none other than Steph Curry.
Curry wants to make sure the world sees his inspirational story so he’s footing the bill for two free months of Apple TV+ so anybody can watch it for free.
“I’m giving everybody a two month free trial for Apple TV+.” he writes, gifting people an extra free entertainment option during a summer stricken by entertainment industry strikes.

Doing everything he can to make sure people see the movie is a symbolic act as well as a promotional one. Curry knows all too well what it’s like not to be seen — that’s part of his inspirational history and a big aspect of the story he tells in Steph Curry Underrated.
Even as the son of an NBA star (Dell Curry), Curry wasn’t offered a scholarship to the likes of UCLA or Duke and ended up at the smaller Davidson College. After a brilliant college career he was then still considered too slight of build to become a star in the NBA. Here’s part of pre-draft scouting report:
“Far below NBA standard in regard to explosiveness and athleticism … At 6-2, he’s extremely small for the NBA shooting guard position, and it will likely keep him from being much of a defender at the next level … Although he’s playing point guard this year, he’s not a natural point guard that an NBA team can rely on to run a team … Struggles defensively getting around screens … Can overshoot and rush into shots from time to time…”
Hindsight shows up shortsightedness on the scout’s part — but it’s also the case that everything in the above report was true, yet Curry overcame those challenges. Here’s a taste of the film.
