Aaron Rogers, who is considered one of the greatest NFL quarterbacks of all time, will appear next on the gridiron with the New York Jets. He was selected in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, where after backing up QB Brett Favre for three years, continued to play for the Packers until 2022. (Favre, too, was traded to the Jets after spending 15 years with the Packers.)
Before Jets fans get to see Rogers in his new uniform (he turned down Joe Namath‘s offer to wear his retired #12 jersey and opted instead for #8, which he wore playing college football at Berkeley (2003-2004).
When not on a football field, Rogers also likes to golf. With the photos below, Rogers reports that he had his best finish in 19 years at the celebrity golf tournament, the American Century Championship (ACC) at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nevada.
At the golf tournament, Rogers played with fellow pro athletes including NFL veteran AJ Hawk (Slide #1), and long-haired country music star Jake Owen (Slide #2, and below on the 17th hole).
For another comparison, below is a photo of Rogers with long hair.
As seen below, Owen (in red) played with the ultimate winner NBA champion Steph Curry, his father Dell Curry, and pro boxer Saul Alvarez.
When Rogers’s fans and famous friends swiped through the photos, more than one noted the resemblance between Rogers and Owen. As one replied: “Jake Owen looks more like Aaron Rodgers than Aaron Rodgers looks like Aaron Rodgers.” Another fan chimed in: “the resemblance is uncanny.”
Other NFL fans are pointing out that Rogers, on the golf course, beat former NFL QBs Tony Romo (he came in 8th) and John Elway (9th place).
