Fun fact: Keough is married to Australian-born Hollywood stuntman, Ben Smith-Petersen (Mad Max: Fury Road, The Suicide Squad). Keough played Capable in the 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road.
Vogue Australia reports that Keough revealed to the magazine that as a teenager she went “sneaking into bars on the Sunset Strip with her best friend, Dakota Johnson (daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson), to watch their boyfriends, who were in a band.”

It’s based on the real life and death of Veena Virk, a 14-year-old girl in Canada who was beaten and murdered by a mob of teenagers. Keough plays the late writer Rebecca Godfrey, who wrote the 2005 book of the same title.
