Actress Ariel Winter is best known for her role as precocious Alex Dunphy on the long-running comedy Modern Family with Sarah Hyland, Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara, among others. She’s also known as the voice of Princess Sofia in Disney’s animated series Sofia the First.
The 25-year-old star is also known for modeling and for changing her hair color.
After her days of playing raven-haired Alex (the show ended after 11 seasons in 2020), Winter has gone back and forth a number of times between different shades of blonde and red. And as seen above — pink!
When she shared the photos above, Winter shocked her fans with her long bright red tresses… and her with her outfit. Winter is wearing an astronaut suit. She captioned the series: “brb I’m an astronaut on Mars rn.”
Winter is one of 12 celebrities starring in the upcoming FOX reality series Stars on Mars. Living in a simulated life on “Mars,” the celebs will “compete in missions and will vote to eliminate one of their crewmates each week, sending them back to Earth.”
Other celebrities include former competitive cyclist Lance Armstrong (see above, far right), Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams, NFL Super Bowl champ Marshawn Lynch, Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz, and Tullulah Willis (daughter of Hollywood movie stars Bruce Willis and Demi Moore), among others.
Star Trek star William Shatner (Captain Kirk) serves as “Mission Control.” (I am not making this up!) Stars on Mars premieres on June 5.
