While Reddit co-founder and executive chairman Alexis Ohanian appears on daytime talk shows including CBS Mornings, his wife — 23-time Grand Slam tennis champion Serena Williams — often models.
As seen in the photos below, Williams is flaunting her curves in a crop top, tiny cutoffs and knee-high boots and holding a tennis racket. She captioned the series: “I picked up my racket, but I didn’t make it out.”
Serena’s fans and famous friends are going wild over the photo shoot. Hailee Steinfeld dropped a series of revolving hearts emojis. Nicola Peltz Beckham (daughter-in-law of soccer legend David Beckham and former Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham) dropped a series of heart-eyed emojis.
Other fans are reading a hint in the photos. Seeing the green grass behind Serena, one fan replied: “Wimbledon was entered the chat.” Another chimed in: “Pick up your racquet and prep for wimbledon.”
Serena won her first Wimbledon title in 2002, and then went on to win the tournament again in 2003, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2016. Her seven Wimbledon titles tie her with Steffi Graf for the most women’s singles titles in the Open Era.
Wimbledon’s grass courts are widely considered to be the most prestigious and challenging in the tennis world, and winning the tournament on grass is considered the ultimate achievement for many players. When Wimbledon (then known as the All England Club) was founded in 1875, the grounds consisted of croquet lawns and a field used for grazing sheep. However, the club’s founders decided to add a tennis tournament to their annual schedule, and thus began the tradition of Wimbledon.
