Academy Award-winning actress Kate Winslet is known for her roles in movies including Titanic, Heavenly Creatures, Sense and Sensibility, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Little Children, Revolutionary Road, The Reader (for which she won an Oscar), and most recently, Avatar: The Way of Water, among others.
Winslet also won two Emmy Awards for her TV roles in the HBO series Mildred Pierce and Mare of Easttown.
Get ready to see — and hear — more from Winslet. Max (formerly HBOMax) just released the trailer for its new political drama series The Regime, in which Winslet plays the leader of a modern European regime which is beginning to unravel.
As seen and heard in the trailer above, as one fan put it, “Winslet swearing like a truck driver is always entertaining.”
Fans are also “squealing” to see Winslet’s co-star, Martha Plimpton (The Goonies, The Mosquito Coast, Mass) as an American ambassador. The primary complaint heard from fans watching the trailer is the annoyance in having to wait until 2024 to watch The Regime. As one fan replied: “I wish I hadn’t seen this trailer for another 10 months.” Another, less patient fan replied: “Give it to me NOW!”
