When Calls the Heart star Erin Krakow (Elizabeth Thornton) stars in the new Hallmark Channel movie The Wedding Cottage. She plays the protagonist, Vanessa Doyle, a wedding planner who is charged with renovating a rundown cottage for a couple’s big dream wedding.
The only obstacle in Vanessa’s way is the (handsome, single) owner, Evan Stanford (Brendan Penny), who says he’s not interested, at first. While trying to butter him up, Vanessa falls for Evan and vice versa. As her friend says in the trailer below, “there’s nothing wrong with mixing work with romance.”
For her role as Vanessa, Krakow is ditching her When Calls the Heart long tresses and dresses and flaunting a cute modern bob and rocking a variety of tight pleather pants and jeggings with heels, and seen below.
When fellow Hallmark star Andie MacDowell saw the pleather pants pic above, she replied to Krakow: “Look at you like this look on you what is this for what are you up to totally different character.” Another fan chimed in: “um… excuse me with the pants!” with a fire emoji.
Get ready to see more of Krakow: she’s also promoting the highly anticipated Season 10 premiere of When Calls the Heart with her co-stars Jack Wagner, Kevin McGarry and Pascal Hutton, among others. The premiere episode will air July 30, 2023. Fun fact for Hearties: Michael Landon, Jr. (son of the late Little House on the Prairie star Michael Landon) co-wrote the script.
The Wedding Cottage premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, April 15 at 8 pm ET.
