The protagonist of the new Hallmark Channel movie Autumn in the City is Piper (Aimee Teegarden). The optimistic young woman has given herself two months in New York City to find her calling and “make something of myself.”
As Piper bounces between temp jobs, she gradually falls for her handsome neighbor, aspiring writer Austin (Evan Roderick, Spinning Out, Arrow). Together they discover the city’s beauty and decide to collaborate on a children’s book together. Piper provides the illustrations.
Aimee Teegarden launched her acting career in the 2003 episode of Cold Case but she’s best known for her role as Julie Taylor on Friday Night Lights (photo below).
Get ready to see more of Aimee: she will appear next in the TV movie Christmas Class Reunion. It’s about a group of friends who reunite for their 15th high school reunion during the holidays.
Autumn in the City premieres on Hallmark on Saturday, October 15 at 8 pm.
